Ananda Pagoda Festival
Held between December 26th and January 10th in the city of Bagan, the Ananda Pagoda festival combines a variety arts and cultural events. Popular movies are shown in open air, plays are performed and a sales fair allows visitors the opportunity to handcrafted purchase local goods.
Nar-ga New Year
Celebrated annually in the Chin state on January 14th and 15th the Nar-ga New Year is not to be missed. Traditional dance and bonfires ignite the evening, followed by a day of traditional sports and dancing. The cuisine, including rice wine and roasted meat, ensure a memorable Myanmar experience.
Waso Fullmoon Day
July 29th is recognized as the first day of Buddist Lent. Waso Fullmoon day is acknowledged throughout Myanmar and includes various ceremonies which are held throughout the country.
Kyaukdawgyi Pagoda Festival
Occurring in Mandalay between October 19th and 26th this festival is a popular primarily for its sales fair. Located within walking distance of the Novotel Hotel the festival is a great place to find many locally produced goods.
